A story thirty years in the making

Nichi Getsu Dō’s origins are based in a friendship that goes back thirty years, and is the culmination of a shared commitment to quality food, great value and a welcoming environment where everyone feels at home.

The Meaning of Nichi Getsu Dō (日月堂)
The characters 日月堂 can be read literally as sun, moon, and hall, giving the name the sense of “The Place of the Sun and Moon.”

The deeper inspiration, however, comes from the Japanese expression 日進月歩 (nisshin geppo) – the idea that meaningful progress is made through small, consistent steps over time. It is a reminder that great things are built day by day, month by month. That belief sits at the heart of everything we do at Nichi Getsu Dō.

One man is standing on a yellow platform, wearing a yellow T-shirt that reads 'I Survived Boot Camp,' and has his hands on his hips, smiling slightly. The other man is sitting below, wearing a white T-shirt, smiling at the camera.
